Rachael Rice

Bio

Rachael joined TPACC in the summer of 2025 and is pursuing a masters in Textile Chemistry. She completed her undergraduate studies in Chemistry at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Her undergraduate research focused on the stability of gold capped nanoparticles under solar illumination. Post graduation Rachael worked for Kanto Corporation. There, she worked in quality control analyzing product purity for raw materials used in the semiconductor industry. In joining TPACC, Rachael will continue to develop her analytical competencies by researching contamination of firefighter gear by Lithium-ion battery fires. In her free time Rachael enjoys salsa dancing, playing tennis, traveling and playing the cello.
