Ally is currently pursuing her M.S. in Textile Engineering after receiving a B.S. in Textile Engineering from NC State with minors in Polymer Science and Materials Science and Engineering. Outside of academia, her experience includes internships with Gore-Tex, Volvo Trucks, and NASA. Her work with TPACC has focused on the mechanical properties and liquid repellency of non-PFAS firefighter turnout gear, with plans to continue pursuing her interests in high-performance materials and PPE design. In her free time, Ally enjoys attending local concerts/music events, thrifting, and collecting vintage clown dolls *<:o)
