Isabel Fricke
Bio
Isabel joined TPACC in Fall of 2024, after graduating from Wilson College of Textiles with her B.S. in Polymer and Color Chemistry. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Fiber and Polymer Science. Her research focuses on the skin absorption of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), that firefighters are often exposed to on the job. She hopes to understand this absorption in order to develop improved in-lab models of skin permeation and improve firefighter protection from these chemicals. Outside of TPACC, Isabel enjoys baking and spending time with friends.
