Merin Jahan Sabiha
 
                      Bio
Merin Jahan Sabiha joined TPACC in Fall 2023. Originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh, she relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina, to advance her education and career. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering and completed her Master of Science in Textile Engineering at NC State University. In Spring 2025, she began pursuing a PhD in Fiber and Polymer Science, with her current research focused on evaluating moisture barrier performance in firefighter gear to better predict and mitigate heat stress. Merin also holds a Graduate Certificate in Nonwoven Science and Technology from the Nonwovens Institute at NC State, supporting her expertise in protective textile systems. Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, she enjoys music, traveling and cooking.
