Bio

Teresa is a graduate of NC State with a B.S. in Textile Engineering. She currently works as a Research Assistant with Dr. Marc Mathews on a project investigating the degradation of firefighter boots. She hopes that this research will help improve our understanding of the lifecycle of firefighter boots and in effect, keep firefighters safer. Outside of academia, Tess enjoys reading, playing racquetball, and spending time with friends.
