Fatema Tuj Jahura
Bio
Fatema Tuj Jahura is a Ph.D. student in the Fiber and Polymer Science program at NCSU. Jahura joined TPACC in the Summer of 2022. She is from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is interested in exploring firefighters’ occupational exposure and the development of work-related diseases. Her current work aims to improve firefighter safety by investigating the toxicity profile of fluorine-free foams available in the market and understanding their associated health risks. Outside her lab work, she likes to hang out with her friends, watch movies, and go hiking.
